Under the direction of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein Lübeck (UKSH), the GeVas Register collects information on all vasculitis patients in German-speaking countries. It is mainly about the documentation of the long-term course of vasculitis in patients with a newly diagnosed vasculitis or a change in therapy in the event of a relapse. The national, digital register collects data directly from the treatment centers - if the patients give their consent, their data is transmitted and collected centrally.
With a critical mass of data, the project managers hope to gain further knowledge about this group of diseases, which has not yet been well understood, in order to be able to draw conclusions, for example, on statistical peculiarities.
