The association is currently working with the Eppendorf University Hospital on the publication of a GPA patient guide. Under the direction of Dr. Christof Iking-Konert, specialist in internal medicine and rheumatology, doctors in German-speaking countries put together chapters on GPA in order to improve the information situation.
It is important to the association that patients and relatives have access to scientifically-based and current knowledge. Unfortunately, at this time the literature on GPA is often out of date. We hope to close this knowledge gap with the publication of the guide.
Although the medical experts and the association are still working on the completion of the book, we are optimistic that we will start distributing the copies by the end of this year.
